• Lean Burn Control System: This feature predicts fuel needs based on operating conditions and allows the engine to run on a leaner air-to-fuel ratio. The result is significantly improved fuel economy, especially at cruising speeds.
• Lightweight and compact design: Suzuki engineers redesigned the DF60A to be one of the lightest and most compact outboards in its class. This reduces fuel consumption and improves top-end performance by providing a better power-to-weight ratio.
• Multi-Point Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection: Using a 32-bit computer, this system gathers data from multiple sensors to calculate and deliver the optimal amount of fuel to the cylinders in real time. It ensures smooth starts, maximum operating efficiency, and reduced emissions.
• Self-adjusting timing chain: The DF60A was the first in its class to feature a self-adjusting, maintenance-free timing chain that runs in an oil bath. This eliminates the need for manual adjustments and lubrication.
• High Energy Rotation (DF60AV): The high-thrust DF60AV model has a larger gear ratio (2.42:1) and a bigger propeller, which provides increased thrust in both forward and reverse. This makes it ideal for moving heavier boats.
• Large-capacity alternator: A 19A alternator provides approximately 11.5A of power even at 1,000 RPM, which is enough to run marine electronics all day.

• Fluids: For engine oil, Suzuki recommends a 10W-40 or 10W-30 marine-grade oil. For the gearcase, use a GL-5 rated SAE 90 hypoid gear oil.
• Warranty: The standard recreational warranty is 3 years, but it can be extended to 5 or 6 years depending on the country and if it is serviced by an authorized dealer.
